Three Tips to Overcome Self-Doubt
Self-doubt is one of the top limiting emotions that crushes our dreams and lives. Although self-doubt is normal on occasion, pushing us to become better human beings, it becomes a destructive force when it spirals out of control.
When we constantly doubt ourselves, we lack the stamina and drive to pursue our dreams. We dim our light and live mediocre lives. Self-doubt can disguise itself as the impostor syndrome and procrastination.
The good news is that you can overcome self-doubt, especially if you apply the three tips below and taking immediate action.
Tip #1: Flex your memory muscle
Unlike men, women have a tendency to focus more on their failures than their accomplishments. We forget how amazing and gifted we are by birth and rarely take credit for our good deeds. When doubt yourself, flex your memory muscle and remember situations from your present and your past when you did amazing
Maybe you studied hard and got a college scholarship. Perhaps you saved somebody’s life with your smile. Maybe you refused to compromise and stood true to your values instead of living with the burden of pretending to be someone you’re not. You could be the only one in your family who always finds her way around without the GPS. And the list can go on.
Question to ask: When I look at me and my life, what makes me proud?
Tip #2: Take bold action today
Wise men say, If something scares the heck out of you, then that’s exactly the thing you need to do. The more we indulge in our comfort zones, the more self-doubt we accumulate in our lives. Why? Instead of going with the natural flow of life, which is growth, we stagnate. We see other people taking bold actions, following their dreams, and living fulfilling lives while we struggle with the daily grind and forget about the infinite power we have inside.
Everything you want is waiting for you on the other side of your fears. Therefore, by taking a bold action, you will change your state of mind and interrupt the limiting pattern of fear. The act in itself, regardless of the results, will empower you to trust yourself and your abilities more since you are brave enough to get out of your comfort zone.
Stop wasting precious time. Enroll in that masterclass. Start investing your money wisely. Ask the person you fancy on a date. Leave your toxic relationship.

Tip#3: Just dance! (my favorite 🙂 )
Self-doubt is partly a result of self-criticism and that squeaky little voice in your head going on and on about you not being good enough. This voice needs to be silenced, and one of the best ways to do it is breaking your negative thinking pattern by doing something unexpected and fun. You can replace dancing with singing or any other activity that you enjoy so much that it gets you out of your head.
Tony Robbins emphasizes the importance of always being in peak state, especially when we make decisions. Physiology can help you get into peak state. Move your body and take deep breaths when you feel lethargic and out of sync with life. And my dear friend, Ai, learned a few songs and each time her mind is playing tricks on her, she sings. The song that works best for her is Amazing Grace.
